Stadium Stomp 2024: Australia’s ultimate stair climb challenge

The Stadium Stomp 2024 is growing closer, but there’s plenty of time left to train if you’re unsure whether you’re up to the task! It also means that if you’re thinking of using the event as a fundraising tool, now is the time to register so you can let your friends and family know and start to shake the bucket!

What is Stadium Stomp?

Stadium Stomp is an annual fitness challenge and charity event that has been running since 2013 and takes place in various stadiums around the world. The event involves participants climbing up and down the stairs of a stadium, which can be a gruelling physical challenge that requires a lot of endurance and stamina.

The event is usually held in the morning and is open to people of all ages and fitness levels. Participants can choose to do the full course, which involves climbing all the way to the top of the stadium, or a shorter course that takes them part of the way up.

Stadium Stomp events often raise money for various charities, and participants are encouraged to fundraise as much as they can to support their chosen cause. The event can be a great way to challenge yourself physically while also doing something positive for your community.

Overall, Stadium Stomp is a fun and challenging event that brings people together to support a good cause and test their fitness limits.

Stadiums vary, or course, so the number of stairs can vary between venues. Wherever you sign up, however, you’ll be guaranteed to have jelly legs and a good sweat up by the end!

Fundraising with Stadium Stomp

Stadium Stomp has partnered with a couple of charities, The Black Dog Institute and Emergency Services Foundation. These worthy charity partners would greatly appreciate you shaking the bucket on their behalf in the lead-up to this event, but it’s also okay for you to use the challenge as an opportunity to raise money for another cause. If there’s another not-for-profit out there that you’d like to raise money for, the Stadium Stomp is an excellent way to get people to support you.

Dates have been announced for four Australian Stadium Stomp events in 2024:

  • Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne
    Date: Sunday 2nd June 2024
  • Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
    Date: TBA
  • The Gabba, Brisbane
    Date: TBA
  • Sydney Cricket Ground & Allianz Stadium, Sydney
    Date: TBA

You can also register your interest for a Perth event, with the date yet to be decided.

How to register or find out more about Stadium Stomp

Register online by selecting your chosen event/location. Early bird registrations come at a discount, so it’s worth getting yourself organised. On registration, you can see the scale of the course depending on the stadium size. In most cases, you can choose from a short or a full course, plus a watered-down version for kids under 12 years. If you’re up to the challenge and want to push yourself even more, you can register for the gruelling Stomp Unlimited  – an unlimited course is a great option if you’re going to register with a few friends and put some competitive spin on it!
