Australia’s biggest festival of fitness is back in Melbourne this March. Whether you’re a fitness professional looking for inspiration, a gym owner scoping out new products and ideas, or someone who simply loves being around people who take their training seriously – here’s everything you need to know before you go.
The AusFitness Expo Melbourne rolls into the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March 2026, and if last year’s energy was anything to go by, it’s going to be a big one.
Doors open at 10am both days and close at 5pm, giving you a solid window to take everything in — though two days is genuinely a better call if you want to do it justice. Here’s a full rundown of what’s waiting for you.
The team at AusFitness Expo are expecting to welcome more than 30,000 visitors to AusFitness Expo and AusFitness Industry in 2026.
AusFitness Melbourne 2026: Brands, Products & Exclusive Deals
The expo floor is where a lot of attendees spend most of their time, and for good reason. With over 100 fitness and wellness brands exhibiting, it’s the best place in Australia to discover new products, trial gear before you buy it, and score exclusive show deals — with discounts of up to 70% off across nutrition, equipment, apparel, and more.
For gym owners and fitness professionals, the expo floor is also a smart way to research potential suppliers face-to-face, compare options in one place, and negotiate deals you simply can’t get online.
Live Sport & Fitness Competitions at AusFitness Expo Melbourne
This is what separates AusFitness Expo from a standard trade show. The Melbourne event is packed with live sporting competitions that run across both days — all included with your ticket.
Boxing Fitness Academy — The activation we’re personally most excited about. Olympic bronze medallist and global boxing fitness entrepreneur Tony Jeffries will be on the floor with his team, delivering live boxing demonstrations, punch machine challenges, and video showcases of world-class boxing fitness training. Whether you want to throw some punches yourself, quiz Tony about adding boxing to your gym, or explore his certification program, this is a rare chance to access one of the world’s leading boxing coaches in person. More info here.
Undefeated Open Games — Hosted by Undefeated Private Lifting Club, this competition pits strength against endurance in a genuine test of grit. If you’ve got clients who train for performance, this is worth watching — and worth talking about.
Strongman: The Asylum — Described by the organisers as “theatre” as much as sport, The Asylum is a raw exhibition of strongman at its most dramatic. This is proper spectator sport; expect to be genuinely impressed.
APL Pro Powerlifting — Presented by the Australian Powerlifting League, this two-day competition brings powerlifters from across Australia and New Zealand together in a fast-paced, high-energy format. A great reminder of what peak strength training looks like.
ICN Victoria Muscle & Model Show — A celebration of physique sport, presenting some of the country’s most dedicated athletes on stage.
CrossFit® Expo Games — Hosting the MastersHQ Victorian Semi Final, where athletes compete for a top-three finish and a coveted spot at the MastersHQ Championship.
Street Workout 2026 Powerfree Championship — Australia’s top calisthenics freestyle athletes battle it out. If you’ve never seen elite street workout live, prepare to question your own training.
Australian Open Streetlifting 2026 — Australia’s first internationally affiliated streetlifting competition, showcasing calisthenics with added weight across two days of high-powered action.
Kettlebell Competition — Watch elite athletes compete for the kettlebell crown, with plenty of technique inspiration to take back to your own programming.
Arm Wrestling — Beat the ArmKing in an arm wrestle and walk away with $250. Challenges run at 2pm on both Saturday and Sunday at Stand #320.
Melbourne 2026 Special Guests & Featured Athletes
The full 2026 guest lineup is still being revealed, but confirmed names already include:
Roelly Winklaar — Arnold Classic Champion and Mr. Olympia bodybuilder, appearing courtesy of Gymleco, MaxPump, and Hoist USA.
Eddie Williams — Two-time Australia’s Strongest Man, competing in the Strongman activation.
Kwame Duah — International fitness influencer.
Shane Pace — Fitness trainer and recognised industry figure.
More guests are expected to be announced in the lead-up to the event — keep an eye on the AusFitness Expo website and their socials for updates.
Fitness Challenges, Giveaways & Free Workouts at AusFitness
Beyond the competitions, the expo is built for participation. Non-stop challenges and giveaways run across both days, with prizes worth entering for. The Pump Zone — powered by Gymleco, MaxPump, and Hoist Fitness — is where you get to try out premium equipment and remind yourself why a good workout always feels better than staying home.

Fitness Professionals: Don't Forget Sydney in September
Melbourne is the consumer-facing event — and it’s brilliant for that. But if you’re a gym owner, studio operator, personal trainer, or fitness business professional looking for the dedicated trade and education experience, that’s the AusFitness Industry Trade Show & Summit, which is co-located with the Sydney Expo in September.
The Industry Trade Show runs at the Sydney International Convention Centre on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September 2026, with trade-only access. It’s designed specifically for fitness professionals including owners, managers, personal trainers, buyers, and decision-makers from all types of health and fitness facilities — from independent studios through to chains, councils, universities, and pro sports organisations.
The event brings local and international fitness brands together on a trade show floor of 100+ exhibitors, alongside a free education program where industry leaders share insights on growing your business, improving member retention, and building world-class facilities. You can also earn CEC points toward your professional development and industry accreditation.
The Sydney Expo (open to the public) runs alongside it from Friday 11 through Sunday 13 September. So if you can only do one trip in 2026, Sydney in September gives you access to both.

Why Fitness Professionals & Gym Owners Should Attend AusFitness Expo Melbourne
If you work in fitness (or you’re serious about it) the answer is yes. The Melbourne Expo is genuinely one of the better uses of a weekend in March for anyone who wants to stay current, get inspired, try new things, and connect with the kind of people who are as committed to fitness as you are.
Past attendees have described it as “Coachella for fitness lovers” and a “game-changer” — and while that might sound like marketing speak, the format does deliver something that a scroll through Instagram simply can’t: the energy of being in a room full of people who actually show up.
