Students can give their Fitness Career a Flying Start Whilst at School by Completing a Certificate III in Fitness SIS30313 with Foundation Education
Year 10 and 11 students can now give their fitness career a flying start whilst at school by completing a Certificate III in Fitness through Foundation Education’s (RTO 22557) Registered Training Organisation partner, the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers’ (RTO 32363) Sky School starting 27 July 2015.
The newest delivery option for Vocational Education and Training in School (VETis) students to complete the Certificate III in Fitness course, it is a ‘virtual classroom’ that combines live webinar workshops, online theoretical quizzes and assignments, as well as structured work placement.
Sky School’s ‘virtual classroom’ is an entirely one of a kind educational environment where students can see and hear the course teacher as they learn giving them scope for full interactive participation. It also gives students the added advantage of sharing knowledge and ideas with other students also completing their Certificate III in Fitness course.

The course also covers planning and delivering endurance programs.
The Certificate III in Fitness course consists of 15 subjects: first-aid (undertaken with an external provider of student’s choice), anatomy and physiology principles in a fitness context, fitness orientation and health screening, client health assessment, health eating information in accordance to guidelines, awareness of specific populations to exercise delivery, planning and delivering gym programs, instruction and monitoring fitness programs, plan and deliver an endurance program, quality service in the industry, work effectively in sport and recreation environments, sport, fitness and recreation equipment maintenance, home based business planning, occupational health and safety policies and undertaking a risk analysis.

- Live webinar workshops 5pm – 7pm (AEST) during school terms (24 weeks in total)
- Online theory requirement – quizzes and assignments
- Structured work placement required – 30 hours in a local fitness facility
- Course conclusion end of Term 1, 2015 (3 term duration)
