SoulCycle Extend To In-Home Market

U.S. indoor group cycle destination SoulCycle, takes their in-studio bike to the domestic market.

The SoulCycle at-home bike is powered by Variis, a transformative digital platform that enables you to stream classes from breakthrough brands – on demand, promising to capture everything you love about the Soul experience and deliver it right to your home.

Each SoulCycle at-home bike comes with a 30-day home trial (subject to a US$250 shipping and handling return fee), plus five complimentary in-studio SoulCycle classes. On top of the US$2500 for the bike, there’s a minimum 12 month membership of US$40/mth (plus tax), to get unlimited access to on-demand SoulCycle classes through your bike.

The SoulCycle at-home bike comes with a limited warranty for 1 year for the display and bike components and 5 years for the frame of the bike.

The SoulCycle bike supports clip-in cycling shoes for safely pushing and riding out of the saddle, but only the cleats are included with SoulCycle’s package, and with users having to buy their own cycling shoes.

The SoulCycle bike joins the ranks of domestic indoor cycle giants Peloton, closely followed by NordicTrack (watch this space), who of late, are making a considerable impact on the U.S. domestic fitness market.

The NordicTrack S22i Studio Cycle which through it’s iFit platform, allows trainers, during a ‘live’ class, to control your cycle’s resistance, incline, and decline. This is accomplished via the rear mounted motor which can drive the front forks through a 20% incline and 10% decline range providing a more realistic cycle experience on a huge library of outdoor cycle routes around the world.
