Precor Debuts Show-Stopping New Look At The 2018 Fitness Show

As the 2018 Fitness Show comes into focus, we turn the spotlight to Precor and their show-stopping new look for the industry’s premier event.

A global leader in providing best-in-class cardio, strength, group training, networked fitness solutions and programming for fitness facilities, Precor is gearing up to debut an exciting new look at this year’s Fitness Show at the ICC, Darling Harbour, Sydney.

To complement its latest product innovations and colour options on cardio and strength equipment, which include Black Pearl and Tungsten finishes, Precor felt the timing was perfect to bring a truly unique experience to the trade show attendees.

Having taken the Precor brands new bold offering to the world at the recently completed IHRSA Convention, San Diego, USA and within the coming weeks to FIBO, Cologne, Germany, the Precor Australia team will be delivering an intimate experience at the Precor Commercial Stand, located in the Trade Hall (Stand #1800) with many customer centric roadshow experiences to be continued throughout 2018 post show.

At the 2018 Fitness Show you can expect to experience an interactive tour that introduces new colour options on cardio and strength equipment, debuts the all-new Spinner® Chrono™ Power indoor cycling bike, showcase live on-screen demonstrations from the Precor Master Coach team on the Queenax™ functional trainer, Assault Fitness as well as see the latest Networked Fitness innovations RunTV, Single Sign On and Bluetooth® headphone pairing, Bluetooth® sign-in using a smart phone and single sign-on.

Richard Derbyshire, National Marketing Manager for Precor Australia, said: “We have gone with a change in look to complement the exciting colour options on our cardio and strength equipment. We want visitors to our space to gain inspiration for their facilities as well as be excited about our latest product innovations.”

The 2018 Fitness Show line-up for Precor features:

Something new
Showcasing the new look and feel of the brand’s DNA, a new colour scheme featuring Black Pearl or Gloss Metallic Silver frames for both cardiovascular and strength equipment will be on display.

Now facilities can achieve greater visual cohesion between their cardio and strength areas, and present a modern, contemporary look.

In addition, it’s ‘out’ with Pacific Blue and ‘in’ with Dark Tungsten on the cardio equipment covers. Precor strength equipment will also feature an updated palate for upholstery including new colours Hunter Green, Blue Jay and New Purple.

Preva® OS – an open platform for all
Celebrating the 500 millionth workout, completed this February at the Genesis Health Club in USA, Preva Networked Fitness and its growing capabilities will be on display, giving visitors the chance to try out and further investigate new features.

“Crossing the 500 millionth milestone is a nice indicator of both the scale of our digital network as well as the state of the fitness industry. It’s a strong sign that digital has reached a tipping point for fitness operators. And, of course, each of those workouts represents someone doing something to make themselves healthier, which is why we’re here in the first place,” said Dave Flynt, director, Precor Experience Development Centre.

The stand features some of the latest innovations including fresh features like Bluetooth® headphone pairing, Bluetooth® sign-in using a smart phone and single sign-on between a user’s Preva account and entertainment apps like Netflix® and Spotify® which make it convenient for exercisers to access playlists and stay up to date on the latest shows and music while getting in a quality workout, are all on display.

RunTV
The latest Preva feature release, RunTV, by partner VO2 Media, provides motivating, human-powered short films, training tips from fitness experts and stunning interactive trails that synchronise with all Experience™ Series Precor cardio for challenging runs, rides and climbs in some of the world’s most iconic locations.

Assault Fitness
Precor and Assault Fitness have once again joined forces to provide fitness facilities globally with the new interval training offering – The Assault AirBike Elite. With high-intensity interval training (H.I.I.T) voted one of the Top 3 Fitness Trends in 2017 by the ACSM Health and Fitness Journal®, the new AirBike Elite is a great addition to facilities looking to incorporate H.I.I.T training easily and fluidly onto the facility floor.

Designed with feedback from facility owners, cycling enthusiasts, personal trainers, and physical therapists, the AirBike Elite is an enhanced version of the popular Assault AirBike Classic. It features a 27-inch steel fan that provides unlimited resistance – the harder an exerciser pedals, the more resistance the bike gives. Exercisers engage their whole body while pedalling by pushing and pulling the moving handlebars. Alternatively, exercisers can focus exclusively on an upper body workout by setting their feet on pegs located on either side of the enclosed, shroud-covered fan.

The integrated console features eight pre-programmed workout options including goal-based distance, calories, heart rate and time selections or custom interval and high-intensity choices with messaging designed to keep workouts fresh and engaging.

The AirBike Elite design emphasises durability with features including a sweat-proof seat and a dual-stage chain drive system that requires less maintenance. Easy to move and set up, the AirBike Elite can be used to add a high -intensity interval training component to functional training group exercise classes or specialised sessions, and can easily be combined with a Queenax ™ functional training unit to offer a dynamic group training experience.

High-Intensity Interval Training Treadmill and P30i Console
In direct response to the growing shift towards one of the top training trends in the industry today, leading fitness supplier and manufacturer Precor has launched the P30i Interval Console, a unique console, specifically designed for high-intensity interval training (H.I.I.T) on the Precor 700 Line treadmill (TRM 731).

Voted one of the Top 3 Fitness Trends in 2017 by the ACSM Health and Fitness Journal®, facilities are looking to help members incorporate H.I.I.T into their workouts.

The introduction of the P30i console on the 700 Line treadmill gives operators the ability to incorporate small-group interval training in their facility and provide exercisers with a ‘get-on-and-go’ workout experience.
