The Monolith line has been in production for about seven years now and has been a strong performer for high-end Italian manufacturer, Panatta. With biomechanics at the core of everything Panatta designs, this range of commercial strength equipment offers a truly enjoyable training experience for the user. While focusing on hips and glutes provide the foundations for a strong lower body and reduce injury risk, the trend of ‘booty-building’ in the female demographic has seen a strong interest is specialised equipment that can target these areas of the body. The Monolith line Hip Thrust is the perfect offering for your members that are keen to train their glutes, quads, and hamstrings in a safe, controlled, and comfortable manner.
What is the Panatta Monolith line Hip Thrust?
The Panatta Hip Thrust has been designed to allow the user to perform a hip extension movement safely, with correct form. A gas assisted roller makes getting on and off of the machine simple, and also offers a comfortable experience for the user. This wide, padded roller is one of the reasons users have embraced the Hip Thrust machine as it means they can focus on increasing their lifting load and their technique rather than being distracted by the uncomfortable pressure of a barbell across the front of their pelvis.
The Hip Thrust unit also features a tilting backrest that follows the user through the entire range of movement and a wide footrest, which offers a solid and stable base. It is an excellent choice for effectively training the glutes, core, and lower body.
Common problems with hip thrust exercises
Hip thrust exercises (with a barbell) can be problematic for some people and it’s usually due to a stability or motor control issue. If performing a hip thrust is causing issues, it’s best to first seek guidance from a trained fitness professional to ascertain the problem. Going back to basics and making sure you have the foundational strength and stability to perform a really good glute bridge routine correctly is important too.
Sometimes, it not so much a stability or strength issue, but rather a set up issue that is posing the problem. Common problems with hip thrust exercises include the bench or block being the wrong height behind the user’s shoulders, a shoulder injury or mobility issue making the set up challenging, insufficient padding between the barbell and the body, and weight plates not being secured and sliding outwards.
A traditional, barbell hip thrust exercise starting floor can also be inaccessible to perform if there are upper body injuries or limitations.
Adjusting the height of the bench or adding weight collars to hold plates securely can be simple fixes for these problems, but sometimes a negative experience can make gym-goers hesitant to revisit an exercise afterwards.
Why users love the Panatta Hip Thrust machine
The Panatta Hip Thrust takes all the uncertainty and discomfort out of the hip thrust movement.
From the ease of getting set up with the adjustable foam roller and magnetic pin load selection to the comfort and confidence of the wide padded bar and the back support, this premium quality piece of strength equipment is a real hit with users.
