World Events Online International Sports Booking Service

Announcing a game changer for Aussie sport lovers

Ever dreamed of watching Jarrod Hayne in a 49ers game, Andrew Bogut or Mathew Dellavedova at an NBA game but don’t know where to find tickets? Australians travelling overseas can now easily support their Aussie sporting heroes and get access to international sport events thanks to a new online initiative, World Events Online.

The online booking platform arranges tickets for sports as well as events in music and the arts taking place in cities abroad, allowing Aussie travellers to plan ahead and view or purchase tickets before they leave Australia.

Industry veteran David Tonkin, who founded Sydney Flight Centre and was a co-founder of, continues to revolutionise the way Australians travel and says his new website will combine Aussie’s love for sport and sense of adventure through an easy and reliable channel.

“There’s no doubt that Aussie’s love their sport heroes especially when they do well internationally. Whether it be in football, tennis, basketball or even surfing, World Events Online provides Aussie’s with the chance to cheer on their sporting idols no matter where they play,” says Mr Tonkin.

“The website aims to help travellers from Oz make the most out of their holiday by only listing events tailored to Australian public interest or that feature Aussie talent. World Events Online aims to take the stress out of finding reliable and affordable tickets from foreign websites by providing Australian travellers with useful information they need, to book tickets before embarking on their journey.”

World Events Online is not only a resource for those at home but a useful tool that travel agents can adopt with their clients when suggesting “things to do” overseas. Tonkin has employed a team of event experts to scour through thousands of international events who then carefully handpick only those that would be of interest to the Australian market.

World Events will initially focus on events within North America and Europe but is looking to expand and incorporate Australia as well as events in New Zealand, Asia, South America and Africa.
