The third annual Women’s Health and Fitness Summit is being held on 10-11 September 2016 at RACV Club, Melbourne, Victoria Australia and delivers 7 CECs through Fitness Australia.
There is a perception that The Women’s Health & Fitness Summit (WHFS) is for women only – but it’s not!
YES – women do have different training needs to men, and YES – specific training principles for women are largely excluded from general fitness education. And YES – historically, the WHFS has had very few men attend.
This year the Women’s Health and Fitness Summit is wanting to change that perception because they believe that to improve the way women are trained, there needs to be a cultural change in the fitness industry so trainers can STOP the potential harming of female clients with exercise.
As most fitness professionals are men and statistically, most fitness industry clients are women… then yes, ALL fitness professionals should attend the Women’s Health and Fitness Summit! Including our male trainers.
Melissa Milner, who owns and runs mishfit Moonee Ponds Studio, has put her money where her mouth is and paid for 2 full tickets to use in a competition to motivate male fitness professionals to attend the event. Melissa wants all male trainers to deliver the best possible programs to their female clients.
To enter to win is simple:
Male personal trainers need to email Melissa in 50 words or less, what their greatest challenge is, when working with female clients. All entries to firstname.lastname@example.org must be received before 5pm on 20 August. The winning ticket also includes Saturday night drinks. It cannot be exchanged for cash and requires the winner to attend the 2 full days and use their photo for promotional purposes.
