Technogym Australia introduce ‘WELLNESS on the GO’ to Customers

technogym Australia rolled out its WELLNESS on the GO State Seminars during the month of July in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane to its Club and Public Authority customers.  The presentations delivered during the Seminars contained cutting edge information about Technogym’s  Mywellness Cloud – the first ever cloud computing technology within the Fitness Industry which allows fitness facilities to extend the boundaries of their facility and to have the ability to be in constant contact with their member’s wherever they are: in the gym, on the move or at home.

Francesco Arlotti from Technogym’s headquarters in Italy delivered the content with Australian Network Solutions Manager, Barbara Zeiss.  Facility owners and managers were blown away by the fact that there is finally a solution to ensure that their installed equipment can always be controlled, monitored and has the ability to provide facilities and members with the information that really matters.

The first seminar kicked off at the Sydney Cricket Ground Members Pavilion on a beautiful 24 degrees winter’s morning. Paul Roos, former Sydney Swans Coach and currently head coach of the Sydney Swans Academy introduced the event with a presentation about the relationship between the Sydney Swans and Technogym.

The Sydney Swans have been training using Technogym cardio, strength and functional movement products for over 4 years. The latest initiative is a Mywellness Key Study conducted by Edith Cowan University and Technogym which monitors the physical activity of 40 members of the Under 16 Academy squad while they are not training with the Academy.   Paul spoke about the study which is currently underway and how useful the Mywellness key could be within a Fitness Club setting in terms of motivating members to achieve their desired fitness goals.  The Mywellness Cloud Technology allows Fitness Club members to access their workout data wherever they are:

  • In the gym – using VISIOWEB, a web-enabled digital platform interface available on Technogym cardiovascular equipment, or from VISIOSELF, the new interactive touch screen kiosk.
  • On the go – from a smartphone using the mywellness mobile app
  • At home – from a tablet or personal computer, using the website.

The Melbourne event was held at the Pier Hotel which overlooks Port Melbourne beach. This was the largest event in terms of attendees and commenced with a Round Table Discussion with key local facilities who wanted to share their Mywellness Cloud best practice examples.  Attendees found the discussion group so useful that they’ve asked for it to be rolled out on a bi-monthly basis.

The Brisbane event took place at the Norman Hotel and was again hugely successful. Attendees at all events were given the opportunity to network with key Technogym staff members after the formal content was delivered over lunch.
