Fitness And Fashion Fuse At The Fitness & Health Expo

SLY Active has been announced as the official apparel supplier for this year’s Fitness & Health Expo in Melbourne, showcasing what’s possible in the booming fitness apparel space for fitness and leisure professionals and facilities.

Gone is the standard branded t-shirt – it’s now possible to brand fashionable and high performance fitness apparel and the Expo’s team will be among the first to sport them at the Melbourne event on 29 April to 1 May 2016 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Among the Expo’s collection are branded full-length compression leggings utilising the latest printing techniques that ensure the print won’t crack through wear, washing and stretching.

Director of the newly launched SLY Active Simon Rawadi said they’re helping fitness professionals bring an element of sports luxe to their brand.

“Why? There is a boom in fitness wear and this represents a huge opportunity to those working in the fitness and leisure industry,” said Simon. “We are working with industry professionals to help them brand and design their own apparel using the latest designs and fabric technology. As well as providing an additional revenue stream, industry professionals are using their own fitness clothing labels to create a sense of community amongst their clients, for in- house competitive events and challenges and are enjoying the benefits of letting their brand leave the bounds of the facility walls or PT class, essentially creating walking ambassadors for their business. Simply plonking a logo in the centre of a standard t-shirt doesn’t cut it anymore. Instead, we’re seeing businesses create pieces and designs that can compete with the popular brands on the fitness fashion market and assist in molding a fresh, fashionable image.”

The SLY Active range includes leggings , compression leggings, latest fashion tanks and tees, shorts, hoodies and a dedicated Junior range for little fitness fans. There are no set-up costs and the minimum run is only 30, making it an accessible option for boutique studios and solo Personal Trainers as well as large gym and facility owners. SLY can also work with fitness professionals to create unique pieces in desired colour, style and fabric.
