Precor has added to its already popular touch screen consoles with a premium networked fitness experience – the P62 on the Experience Series™ 800 and 700 cardiovascular lines.
World News: March 2017 – Woodinville, Washington, USA
The 13″ screen has touch screen controls permanently embedded in its surface enabling an optimum 10.5” media viewing experience to be maintained throughout the workout. Unlike televisions hanging from the ceiling or mounted on the gym walls, the exerciser’s proximity to the industrial grade, high-definition P62 screen provides the appropriate angular resolution for a crisp, personalised and optimum viewing experience they would expect from their television at home.
The P62 shares common software and hardware architecture with the Precor P82, which is fuelled by a quad core processor, has faster processing speeds, an android operating system and is a proven and reliable touch screen console designed to respond to the constant rigours of fitness facilities.
When networked, the P62 receives free automatic software updates and refreshed content and includes an integrated asset management feature, to enable facilities to easily access diagnostics and usage information.
The P62, along with the other Precor touch screen consoles, the P80 and P82, furnishes gyms with a choice and enables networked fitness to be attained by all fitness facilities.
The P62 touch screen console also includes large motion controls allowing exercisers to easily change the resistance and motion of a workout.
Adam Hubbard, Director of Product Management for Precor, comments: “Since launching networked enabled consoles more than 6 years ago, Precor has seen a rapid adoption of this technology by both operators and exercisers. For exercisers, this new console provides the high tech, personalised experience they demand. For operators, the P62 will be another tool for them to connect and engage their members and provide a key vehicle for them to differentiate in a competitive market. The P62 provides an accessible networked console option to further this adoption.”
