In recent years, Pilates has grown in popularity. Thanks to celebrity endorsements and proven results for many participants the world over, it is widely recognised as a highly effective exercise technique for strengthening and toning the body, improving flexibility and posture, enhancing concentration, health and wellbeing, and is often unrivalled for its results with rehabilitation.
Pilates International Training Centre (PilatesITC) has just launched its online courses, to offer accredited Pilates education online so that people can train anywhere, anytime.
And in a world first, PilatesITC courses will now also articulate to a Bachelors Degree. In collaboration with Canberra University, the PilatesITC online courses will allow students to move from the Advanced Diploma to a higher education outcome from June this year. Successful graduation from the Advanced Diploma of The Pilates Method (91490NSW) will be recognised by this university to provide a pathway to an Exercise Science Degree, providing graduates with essential health industry registrations (ESSA) and the highest level training.
PilatesITC attracts a diverse range of students both nationally and internationally. A variety of vocational programs from Certificate IV to Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Pilates is available and delivered through a combination of modules, which include online distance learning, off-the-job contact (face-to-face lectures and tutorials), on-the-job professional work experience (observation, training studio and real time) and self-directed learning (including self-study and self-mastery).
