Life Fitness UK have continued their long-term relationship and preferred supplier status with Nuffield Health, the leading healthcare charity.
The new 3 year contract at 75 Nuffield Health Wellbeing and Fitness Centres follows a strategic equipment supplier review and will mean the continued installation of Life Fitness equipment at those centres and a further 200 corporate sites throughout the UK.
The new Life Fitness PowerMill Climber and the FlexStrider Variable Stride Trainer are amongst the full range of cardio equipment to be installed.
Digital consoles on all cardiovascular equipment are also to be rolled out with the aim of enhancing the gym experience and help create a seamless, integrated journey for its members.
MD of Wellbeing at Nuffield Health, Dr Andy Jones, said: “Our partnership with Life Fitness will enable further integration of digital technology with virtual and face-to-face services, enabling us to deliver fitness and wellbeing programmes to our members in a way that will make it easier for them to understand, improve and maintain their health.”
Jason Worthy, MD at Life Fitness UK, added: “Our strong partnership with Nuffield Health has developed over 10 years and, during this time, we have continued to develop diverse and innovative fitness solutions to support their expansion.”
As reported in the UK bodyLIFE news in April 2014, Nuffield Health signed £330m of debt facilities to support its long-term growth strategy in the UK’s health and fitness market.
The charity – which champions healthy lifestyles – secured the funding from a combination of banks and institutional lenders to enable further strategic development across its hospitals as well as in the consumer and corporate fitness markets.
Nuffield Health also recently appointed consultancy Handsome Brands to overhaul its brand architecture across the group.
