PELOTONE AWARDED FOR COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION AT 2014 SYDNEY HILLS BUSINESS AWARDS

A solid foundation and belief in ongoing support to local community and to give back where you can through charity and volunteer work helped to secure local indoor cycle specialist, Pelotone, a finalist award for community contribution at the recent esteemed 2014 Sydney Hills Business Awards (SHBA).

The Pelotone team is now the proud owner of a finalist award for community contribution, recognising the continual giving and support Pelotone director and her team make to its local Hills community.

The Sydney Hills Business Awards (SHBA), which was established in a partnership between the Sydney Hills Business Chamber and The Hills Shire Council, recognise the outstanding contribution businesses make to the local community.

Karen Newham, director of Pelotone, who resides in the Hills, admits she has a love for her business and her local community. “I have a soft spot for local volunteer work and for always giving and helping others through my new business,” says Karen.

“The awards provide a great opportunity to highlight some of the wonderful work local businesses are doing in the area to support community, not-for-profit and charity organisations.

“All our team at Pelotone are very proud to have been recognised and rewarded as a finalist, we couldn’t be more honoured, and given we only opened the business eight months ago makes it even more humbling,” says Karen.

The Hills Mayor Michelle Byrne congratulated Pelotone Director, Karen Newham as an award finalist.

“Karen Newham is a local success story and she wants to give back to the community and has created a business where people can improve their fitness and well being. Karen’s goal is to help contribute to a healthier, happier Hills community.”

Mayor Michelle Byrne added, “I’m so grateful to be living in an area where there are so many active businesses supporting the community in so many different ways. I encourage Pelotone to keep on doing what they are doing well.”
