Diversified Communications continues expansion of fitness & health portfolio with Brisbane acquisition

Diversified Communications, organiser of the highly successful Fitness & Health Expos that have already grown to cover Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, has today announced the acquisition of the Brisbane Fitness & Health Expo, previously owned by Major League Marketing.

The acquisition will also encompass the co-located Queensland Fitness Conference (QFIT), which will now be facilitated by the Australian Fitness Network, organisers of the highly respected annual industry event FILEX.

Set to be held on 24 to 25 October, this year’s Brisbane event will be integrated into Diversified Communications Fitness & Health portfolio and showcase the latest fitness products, class demonstrations and nutrition advice and offer opportunities for visitors to take part in fitness competitions and meet fitness celebrities, all under one roof at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

With support from key industry associations including the International Natural Bodybuilding Association, Powerlifting Australia and the Australian Federation Of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, highlights will include:

  • The latest product releases from the biggest names in fitness including Nutrition Systems, Lorna Jane and Reebok
  • An arena featuring a range of sessions including CrossFit, Group Training, High Performance Training and Celebrity open workouts
  • Bodybuilding, Martial Arts and Powerlifting competitions and demonstrations
  • A healthy eating focus with advice from some of the best in the industry.

Event Director Shaun Krenz from Diversified Communications said that Brisbane has been on the radar for some time and his team was happy to finally be able to deliver this product to Queensland.

“The previous owners have done a fantastic job in building the event and aligning it extremely well with local organisations and the needs and interest of Queenslanders. We are excited to add the product to our existing Fitness & Health portfolio and inject our passion and knowledge into the event.

“The interest level in fitness is very high in Queensland. The climate lends itself to lifestyle activities and we’re very excited about bringing some exciting new additions and special guests to the eager Queensland community.”

Entry is free for those who work in the industry and $20 for the general public, which provides all-day access to demonstrations, show specials and talks from fitness celebrities and experts.  Exhibitors looking to secure their presence can also book by clicking here.
