Commando Steve (aka Steve Willis) will kick WA into shape when he returns to the Fitness Show WA for 2014.
Commando will join Healthy Chef Teresa Cutter and other big names at the show, in Perth from 16th to 17th August.
Since leaving a successful military career, Commando Steve has transformed the lives of thousands of Australians, including five series of contestants on Channel 10’s The Biggest Loser. He will be equipping visitors with the physical, mental and nutritional tips required to transform participants’ bodies and minds.
When asked about his own fitness secret, Commando Steve said it’s all about working towards a regime you can maintain.
“Regardless of what it is you set out to achieve, consistency is key! To ensue consistency you need to be committed, have a plan and prepare. We all get side tracked by the finer details of health and fitness, be consistent each and everyday and you will see significant changes in a short period of time.”
Commando Steve also believes the key to staying fit in winter is a combination of diet and exercise.
“Don’t let the cold weather dictate your diet, stay away from the highly processed foods, eat whole foods in soups and stews that contain a source of lean protein, vegetables and quality fats. Foods like this will do you a world of good,” he said. “Train in the morning where possible as the days are shorter and people don’t want to do much when it get dark and cold, get it done in the morning and get the monkey off your back!”
Perth visitors will be able to gain free fitness tips from Commando Steve during Q & A sessions at the Fitness Show WA.
A small number of lucky Perth fitness fanatics will also get the chance to be trained by Commando Steve himself.
