As many as 300 people, including Steve ‘The Commando’ Willis, will unite on Tuesday October 21 at the ‘Living, Giving and Healthy Living’ event to raise money for The Hunger Project.
Willis will address the audience, along with Glen Carlson (co-founder of the Key Person of Influence program) and Jacinta McDonell (co-founder of Anytime Fitness) on the topics of fitness, business and giving. They will share the defining moments of change that have projected them forward on their various missions and the learnings they’ve gathered along the way.
“The Hunger Project works in Africa, India and Bangladesh, reaching twenty four million people in nearly 20,000 remote villages”, said event organiser, Jen Dugard of popular mums training group Body Beyond Baby. “They teach people to take advantage of opportunities and take on leadership roles, just as The Commando, Glen and Jacinta have. They’ve trained more than 385,000 volunteer leaders who now have the confidence, methods and skills to envision a future without hunger. I’m excited to be part of a initiative that supports leadership and genuine progress”.
A silent auction will also be held at the event. All profits will be donated to The Hunger Project.
