Brisbane Fitness & Health Expo 2015 – Show Report

Co-locating with the QFit fitness professional conference, this years show was the first year under new ownership of Diversified Communications Australia, the exhibition specialists that bring you the Melbourne Fitness & Health plus the smaller Sydney Fitness & Health Expo and the Perth Fitness & Health Expo instalments.

Following on from last weekend’s Sydney Health & Fitness Expo, this latest addition to the Diversified portfolio promised to deliver Queenslanders a reinvigorated event over two days featuring commercial fitness equipment suppliers for the trade and industry visitors and consumer focused exhibitors marketing products and services around fitness education, health & wellbeing, healthy eating, sports & nutrition, training accessories & performance clothing and fitness technology.

The major drawcard for visitors was the array of celebrity guests to meet, greet and even training with.

Judging by the crowds on entry on Saturday morning, the event looked like being a success from the get-go, taking less than an hour before the aisles were shoulder to shoulder.

On the timetable we seen an action packed 2-day schedule of VIP (paid) Training Sessions at the Sage Celebrity Arena, the INBA Brisvegas Super Show on the Muscle & Model Stage, the Country Men Finals on the Weightlifting Stage, The Queensland Partners Cup cross functional training comp at the Arena and a series of Q&A sessions with celebrities including 5 time Olympic & Gold Medallist Nat Cook and Queensland Reds Super Rugby Champion and Wallaby Ben Dailey.

Other live action on the floor included group exercise classes on the new Queenax modular rig system, Boxmaster boxing training from Summit Fitness and fun (tough) Stroops and freeFORM Board demos from the team at EYE Fitness.

For those attending this event for the first time, it’s an experience that’s sure to leave them feeling inspired to either get qualified, get fitter or just get amongst the action.
