Entries Now Open for the 2014 Blackmores Sydney Running Festival

Entries are now open for the run that’s fun for everyone – The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival returns on Sunday 21 September 2014.

There are four stunning events to choose from – simply select the challenge that’s right for you. Each event gives you the unique opportunity to ‘Run the Bridge’ – traffic free and take in Sydney’s spectacular sights.

Events include:-

  • The Sunday Telegraph Family Fun Run/Walk (approx 3.5km)
  • Blackmores Bridge Run (approx 9km)
  • Blackmores Half Marathon (21km)
  • Blackmores Sydney Marathon (42.2km).

All events take participants over the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge with the Blackmores Sydney Marathon and Blackmores Half Marathon finishing at the Sydney Opera House. Post-event all participants are invited to celebrate their achievements in the Blackmores Recovery Village located in the Royal Botanic Garden while enjoying the spectacular views of Sydney Harbour.

Participants can make each step count by getting sponsored for their efforts and helping to raise funds for over 37 official charities including the Shake It Up Foundation and Cerebral Palsy Alliance. Or they can select their own personal cause. Entry is free if participants sign up for the ‘Run for a cause, Run for free’ initiative and reach their set fundraising target.

In 2014 The Blackmores Sydney Marathon was awarded a prestigious Silver label from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) officially recognising the event as a world leader in marathons.  Plus, with a new six hour Marathon cut off time, runners of all abilities can now look to tackle this legendary distance at their own pace.

The 2014 Blackmores Sydney Marathon will continue to be broadcast live on both Channel 10 and EuroSport Asia.  The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival is proudly supported by The NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

Places will start to fill up fast. So register now at and start training.
