New technology partnership powers cheaper electricity
Payments specialist Debitsuccess has made its first foray into providing options for one of the most common monthly bills – power.
The company is providing paperless billing options for online power company Electric Kiwi, an electricity retailer designed specifically for customers with smart metres.
Electric Kiwi managing director Julian Kardos says an ‘online-only’ approach to billing contributed to being able to provide some of the lowest power prices in the market.
“We saw a gap for a company that could maximise technology to provide cheaper electricity. Digital readings from smart meters means we’ve been able to design a platform that brings every single aspect of electricity retailing online – from signing up and connecting through us, to automatic meter readings, online accounts, customer service and of course, billing. Using Debitsuccess’ billing technology is a very efficient way for us to manage and process payments, which ultimately means we are able to provide lower power prices for our customers.”
With an integrated credit control offering, Debitsuccess is the only full-service payment processor in New Zealand. National sales manager Jesse Harris says the company works across a range of industries and is committed to stringent data security.
“We work with a raft of organisations across different industries from health and fitness to education and insurance. We’re excited to be partnering with Electric Kiwi as our first power client.”
Harris adds: “The security of personal information is upmost in many people’s minds. Being assured that there is excellent data security encourages recurring payment options to be considered, and our billing platform enables people to allocate their own payment schedule to suit their needs.”
Debitsuccess is part of Transaction Services Group (TSG), a leading global payment solutions provider with a presence in Australasia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
